Food and drink is perhaps the most vital industry in the world, yet it’s often overlooked, marred by low pay and buffeted by political choices.

A sector report’s warning our food supply is threatened by climate change, over-farming the soil, and shifts in our eating habits.

It also says that although Brexit is a major challenge for firms, with uncertainty and higher prices, it’s also a distraction from global issues.
