Boma State Governor, David Yau Yau has officially re-opened the main road connecting Bor and Pibor, in a move to demonstrate his commitment to resolutions reached at a recent inter-state peace dialogue.

Yau Yau is in Jonglei for a two-day official visit to meet with officials and reopen main routes to normal traffic and economic activity.

His visit follows a meeting of officials from Boma and Jonglei states in Bor last month, in which it was resolved to allow free movement and end cattle raids and child abductions.

Yau Yau arrived in Bor with 40 head of cattle that were raided from Bor.

He spoke to Radio Miraya Bor correspondent David Majur in this interview.
