NRC: South Sudan can bounce back after five years of conflict

One the eve of 5th anniversary of South Sudan conflict, Norwegian Refugee Council Rehana Zawar says leaders should hear the peoples voices and deliver on their renewed promises of peace

Ahead of the 5th anniversary of the start of the conflict in South Sudan on 15th December, the International NGO, Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), is calling on South Sudanese and their leaders to demonstrate commitment to the full implementation of the peace agreement as the best possible avenue to ending the conflict.

Rehana Zawar, NRC Country Director said the leaders should hear the voices of the people and deliver on their renewed promises of the revitalized peace agreement.
She says conflict only brings destruction.

On humanitarian response, Zawar says the Norwegian Refugee Council has been providing Relief, Food, Medicine and education in emergency situations through Rapid Response Teams.

She spoke to Samuel Pawon in this interview.
