Refugees concerned that non-signatories 'pose threat’ to peace implementation
South Sudanese refuges in Uganda are concerned that parties that are not signatory to the revitalized peace agreement may pose a threat to its full implementation.
This came up during a dissemination exercise of the agreement in Rhino Refugee Camp in Arua district that is home to more than one hundred and twenty thousand refugees – mostly from South Sudan.
Barnabas Samuel is the Development Manager for the ‘Community Development Centre’ - one of the organizations involved in the dissemination exercise.
Speaking to Radio Miraya's Sworo Charles Elisha from Arua, Barnabas said the refugees are cautiously optimistic about the agreement.
