BBC names first LGBT correspondent - is it an essential position for 2018? Or political correctness?

BBC Africa presenter Ben Hunte has been named as the corporation's first LGBT correspondent. The BBC said it was "aiming to create the most open, inclusive culture we can." Is it a must have position in 2018? Or is this another case of political correctness? Stephen got the views of John O'Doherty from the Rainbow Project and commentator Angela Epstein.
