An American father has decided to play matchmaker by posting a newspaper ad hoping to find his three sons "nice" dates during a family holiday.

Neil and his family from Oregon USA are spending the New Year in New Zealand and advertised for parents of single New Zealand women to contact him in order to arrange some introductions during their visit.

Neil has revealed he has received over 200 responses to his ad.
