Episode 52: The More That Things Change, The More That They Stay The Same

Dec 24, 2018, 01:00 PM

The Buffalo Bills went in to Foxborough with aspirations of a victory, but ultimately left in defeat. While this is a result that we have seen all to often, Matt Johnson thinks that the dynasties best days are way behind them.
In time, Josh Allen will have a team around him that can compete with the best New England has put forth, but not this day. The growing pains of a rookie NFL QB were ever apparent in Week 16. Between dropped passes and costly turnovers, Buffalo's offense struggled.
Defensively, the Patriots run game dominated, putting up 273 yards and 2 TDs, while gaining a mere 126 yards passing, and 1 TD, an unlikely stat line for the 41 year old Tom Brady. The Bills came through on a few turnovers, putting Stephen Hauschka in prime position for 2 Field Goals.
Next week, the Bill's close their 2018-19 campaign at New Era Field against Division Rival, Miami Dolphins, who are also out of Playoff Contention now after a loss to Jacksonville this week. Hopefully, Bills Mafia will be "Shout"-ing to end the season on a high note.
