Turkana Girl Child

As an appraisal of Kenya’s Free Primary Education Program, radio journalist Wycliffe Masinde seeks to find out how many girls in Turkana County in Kenya enrolled in standard one ten years ago at the start of the programme and how many from the cohort completed their primary education eight years later. Masinde uses data mined from Kenya Open Data and Turkana District Education office to tell his story.
