Kenyan based South Sudanese Analyst, Akol Miyen Kuol, is calling for serious talks between Troika and South Sudan, to speed up the implementation of Peace Agreement in the Country.

Speaking on Phone from Nairobi, Miyen who is also an author and journalist, spoke of the urgent need for the Troika countries of Norway, USA and the United Kingdom to stand close to the parties, to push the peace process to a positive conclusion.

“We still reiterate our call to the Troika countries to really stand very closely with us and the par-ties to the agreement so that we reach a conclusion of the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement."

Stressing the importance of the revitalized agreement,  Akol said "our people have suffered enough, and we cannot afford to lose this chance and find the country in turmoil again, we will not allow that and we don’t want to even go back. No!”

Akol Miyen is a great advocate for an end to all forms of conflict in the country using his hashtag “Save the last Train”.

He spoke directly to the armed groups appealing for a conducive environment in South Sudan that allows people to live dignified lives.

"We discourage our brothers and sisters who are still carrying out attacks on our roads, they need to understand the plight of our people who have suffered through out their lives since 1955 till today. So it is time to let them live a dignified life and regain their dignity and honor after being displaced for so long.”

He also underscored the need for the parties to the agreement to engage the country’s influential persons to get advice on how to implement the revitalized agreement.
