More than 100 Civil Society Organizations plan to petition the Ministry of Information, Communica-tions Technology and Postal Services seeking action on the poor mobile telephone services in the country.

The petitioners will bring the attention of the Minister to what they have described as the 'frustrating inefficiencies' of mobile telephone services in the country.

The Petitioners will ask the Ministry of information to take appropriate action to address this problem.

Rajab Mohandis, executive director of the Organization for responsive governance, is the lead petitioner. He stressed that the country cannot develop without an effective telephone network.

"A country cannot develop when you cant communicate easily, at least at this age we expect the networks to be effective like they are in some of our neighboring countries.”
