Kent council bosses are calling for more funding from the government to support young asylum seekers.

KCC say they're more than one million pounds short of the money needed to help those who have reached 18 and remain their responsibility.

The number of care leavers are expected to rise to 940 by the end of the next financial year - up from around 800 this year.

Councillor Roger Gough is the cabinet member for children's services.
