Play About Blind Dad Pushes Boundaries

Anna Sheils-McNamee grew up with a dad who couldn’t see. For her, it was nothing out of the ordinary, yet for others her dad would either be classed as a ‘hero’ or treated as a ‘child’.

Inspired by her life, Anna wrote a play called ‘My Dad’s Blind’ which won the best production award at last year’s Dublin Fringe Festival.

RNIB Connect Radio’s Simon Pauley caught up with Anna to find out how her play was received and what’s in store for the future.
