Partners offer life-changing cleft-lip surgery in South Sudan

Peopel with cleft-lip have been given hope, thanks to the improvements in reconstructive surgery.

In Aweil State Hospital, a registration process has kicked off and parents are being encouraged to register their children, for reconstructive cleft-lip surgery.

The registration will last two months and is open to patients with the condition aged six months and above. 

The patients will be flown to Juba in April for the free corrective procedures supported by ‘Samaritans Purse’ and Doctors Without Borders - MSF.

Radio Miraya's Correspondent in Aweil, Achirin Achirin spoke with, Luka Lual Aleu, a Medical Officer at Aweil state hospital.
