Patients who were shot and wounded during a cattle raid in Northern Liech State have successfully been treated and discharged from an MSF facility in Agok.

A group of armed cattle raiders attacked cattle camps in Northern Liech, last week, killing 28 people and wounding several others.

In a related development, Radio Miraya reported this week that more than 40 patients are receiving treatment in Tonj state.

Facilities there are overwhelmed with numbers and a lack of medical supplies.

Hardik Yvas a surgeon with MSF attending to the patients in Agok says the clinic received a total of 8 gunshot patients from Northern Liech who have all undergone successful surgery.

Dr. Yvas spoke to Nelson Lwak in this interview.
