Blske Brutger opened with a 3-0 Win to go 2-0 on the day for Pierz and then Trevor Radunz earned a Fall to make it 9-0. Leading 9-4 after 3 matches, Brandon Funk powered his way to a Tech Fall win and Jake Andres picked up a in by Fall to put Pierz ahead 20-4. Paynesville then strung together 3 straight wins, including 2 by Fall and the score tightened to 20-19 after the 152 lb match. But then Brandon Tomala won by Fall for the second time of the day with Reese Kapsner then accepting a Forfeit and the lead was 32-19.
