National Dialogue regional conferences to kick off this month

The National Dialogue steering committee has announced the start of regional conferences in the three former regions of Bahr el Ghazal, Upper Nile and Equatoria.

Alfred Taban, chairperson of the National Dialogue information committee, confirms that the regional conferences will start on the 18th of this month in Wau for the Bahr el Ghazal region, before moving to Makalal in Upper Nile and Juba for the Equatrorias.

Taban says financial and logistical challenges have been addressed and is urging the public to express their opinions freely during the regional conferences.

Alfred Taban said other parties to the revitalized peace agreement have expressed interest in joining the national dialogue process in response to the President’s call for an inclusive process.
