For several years now, sight loss charities, supported by the World Blind Union, have campaigned for manufacturers of silent and hybrid vehicles to make the cars audible to pedestrians and other road users. UK charity Guide Dogs and Jaguar Land Rover have worked together to creat a sound that people can detect, to avoid stepping out in front of vehicles they can't hear. The car maker has now incorporated the audio signature into it's new Jaguar iPace SUV.
