Girls-empowerment program supports vulnerable school dropouts

A girls-empowerment program is providing life-skills and hope for school dropouts in Central Upper Nile, Aweil and Jubek states. 

The program is implemented by the local NGO – ‘Support for Peace and Education Program,’ and aims to equip vulnerable girls with vocational and business skills that would help them support themselves and their families. 

The Support for Peace and Education Program was Established in 2007 and working in peace building and conflict mitigation
The Education manager for ‘Support for Peace and Education,’ Drabua Sylvia says they work with community leaders to select the beneficiaries.
