Japan Ambassador Seiji Okada on South Sudan peace process and his country’s support
Japan’s Ambassador to South Sudan says he remains ‘cautiously optimistic’ about the peace process and is closely monitoring developments as his country continues to support the process.
Japan last week announced a contribution of 1 million US dollars towards the work of the National Pre-Transitional Committee, becoming the first international partner to make a financial contribution.
Speaking on the Miraya Breakfast Show this morning, Ambassador Seiji Okada said their contribution is to ‘push’ for more progress.
