Episode 803,   Feb 18, 2019, 06:14 AM

A mobile court opens in Malakal today to try cases of crimes committed inside the UN Protection of Civilian site.

The court is supported by the UN Mission in South Sudan and is manned by South Sudanese judges, court officials, prosecutors, defence counsels and Police.

UNMISS Senior Rule of Law Officer, Anees Ahmed says the establishment of the court builds on the success of a similar mobile court in Bentiu.

Ahmed says the UN Mission is providing technical and logistical support to strengthen and promote the justice sector.

He explains to Sebit William how the court will operate.
