Discussion: SPLM-IO concerned about ‘premature’ creation of transitional government

A member of the SPLM-IO sitting on the National Constitutional Amendment Committee says attempts to move forward with the creation of a transitional government before completion of assigned tasks during the pre-transitional period would be ‘premature’ and could jeopardise the peace process.

Oyet Nathaniel Pierino is concerned about the slow progress in implementation of key activities during the pre-transitional period. 

Speaking on Radio Miraya’s Democracy in Action program this morning, Oyet said all sticking issues including devolution of powers and the number of states must first be addressed.
