Venezuela - the picture that name paints is of many beauty pageant winners, lots of oil and Hugo Chavez. Well, yes, Chavez died six years ago but he casts a long shadow, like Castro does over Cuba. But Venezuela has been in the news of late for all the wrong reasons - food shortages, a pissed off citizenry and a dictator who won’t let go. Venezuela also has that quintessential marker of a basket case - hyperinflation.
