County commissioner, Julius Lokonga says more than 1,600 people have returned to their homes from displaced settlements and refugee camps but are living in fear of the herders as they move with their guns.

Lokonga says the cattle keepers are scattering to areas beyond Nyepo and gone as far as Kala in Liwolo County

On the humanitarian situation, the Commissioner says Kajo-Keji hospital is not operational and explains that the returning population is in dire need of support.

Julius Lokonga spoke to Sworo Charles Elisha in this interview.
