The Department of the Economy have decided that the RHI scheme should stay open. At least that's what Sinn Fein are claiming. The department has been considering what to do when temporary cost controls end next month.

The options are to close the scheme or make further big cuts in the payments to participants.

But is this fair on people who signed up to a government scheme in good faith?
