Thee Washburn Langford Drone Experiment (No 1)

Beehive geyser reimagined by Andy Billington.

"I tried to capture a sense of the sculptural and majestic with this reimagined 6 minute repeating drone piece. 

"Every 15hrs the Beehive Geyser erupts sending a plume of boiling water into the sky that creates rainbows. I build a simple melody inspired by this and layered and slowed down the track adding movement and space with lots of tape saturation and reverb."

The title is a gentle nod to the Expedition Party who discovered it in 1870.
