the Sweetest Spot - David Charles Rowan
The Sweetest Spot
There’s a beautiful place, in this beautiful world
Where my fears and troubles worry me not
I can feel my soul sing, my heart unfolds
At the sweetest spot ...
A dappled path through a tunnel of trees
Sweet honey due, upon the breeze
The beauty of all mother nature sees
At the sweetest spot
Wise old badger
Cunning fox
Sunlit eye
forget me not
haunting moon
and wild cry
my heart is held by soft green moss
an inner light shines at the sweetest spot
sacred grove and ancient stone
pay no heed to the paths we roam
my heart hears the calling, my feet return home
at the sweetest spot
