The Justice, peace and reconciliation committee of the Episcopal Church, has put together a series of trauma-healing classes for internally displaced persons to help them manage symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress.

A team of 40 Internally displaced persons sheltered in the UN protection of Civilians site attended the three-day trauma healing training supported by Manitoba council of Canada.

Dr. Jan Stewart, from Manitoba Council for International Cooperation, says there is no time limit for trauma healing and citizens need help to deal with trauma-related complications like shock, denial, numbness, panic, dissociation, trouble sleeping, confusion, and unwanted thoughts.
