More than one thousand three hundred displaced people have camped in the compound of the Episcopal Church in Yei town after fleeing renewed violence.

The IDPs say they ran for their lives when men in military uniform descended on their villages in the Sika Maridi area.

The Voice for Change – a local civil society organisation has handed out food and non-food items to the desperate IDPs.

The organisations Executive Director,  Dorothy Drabuga,  says the IDPs have recounted stories of rape and looting.
