UNMISS deploys patrols to De-escalate tensions in Kuarjena County in Wau
The UN Mission in South Sudan has deployed a patrol team to de-escalate tensions following an attack on a civilian base in Kuarjena county, Wau state.
This after nine people were killed and six others, including children, were injured when gunmen raided the Makonga-base area on Sunday.
UNMISS Head of Field Office in Wau, Sam Muhumure, told our treporter Micheal Wondi that a long distance patrol has been dispatched to the area to support state government interventions.
