Chris Downey had a successful career as an architect and managed a team of designers in the USA.  When he suddenly lost his sight, many thought that his career was over but he proved them wrong. 

By looking at design tools and IT in a different way, and by drawing on his sighted experience, he began to show his peers that not having sight gave him a greater insight into the built environment.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Chris to learn more about his work and his challenge to the profession to encourage more visually impaired architects.
