National dialogue regional conference shifted from Renk to Malakal

Opposition groups are engaged in discussions with the National Dialogue steering committee on their inclusion in the national dialogue process. 

The consultations come after the SPLM-IO faction led by Riek Machar, the South Sudan Opposition Alliance and SPLM Former Detainees did not attend the last regional conference in Wau town after promising to join the process.

The deputy head of the national dialogue information committee, Vincent Wanga says opposition representatives are discussing their representation on the dialogue steering committee.

Meanwhile, the venue for the regional conference for Greater Upper Nile has been shifted from Renk to Malakal. 

Vincent Wanga says the change is to give more people an opportunity to participate.
