The government owned Nile Petroleum Corporation (NILEPET), is assuring the public that the country has enough fuel in its reserves to last until it receives more supplies.

A fuel crisis hit the country last Thursday, crippling transport and prompting a hike in public transport fares.

NilePet Director for Public Relations, Yiey Puoch Lur, says the public should not panic as supplies are expected in the coming days.

Pouch explained that the crisis was brought on by shortages in neighboring Kenya.

He spoke to Philip Wani in this interview.
