Civil Society proposes round table discussions to expedite peace process

As the countdown to the end of the pre-transitional period continues, the South Sudan Civil Society Forum is proposing round-table discussions to overcome obstacles and reach resolutions on pending issues.
With only 45 days left to the anticipated creation of the unity government, civil society says the parties should move quickly to reunify security forces and meet the remaining milestones.
Taban Kiston, a member of the South Sudan Civil Society Forum, says the parties must demonstrate exceptional commitment with the May 12th deadline for the pre-transitional period fast approaching.
