Today, digital connectivity is essential in everyday life, and this is only set to increase over the next two years as we see technology such as the Internet of things (IoT) playing a vital role in business success. By 2021, vast webs of intelligent devices, combined with increased speeds, automation and digitisation will bring new possibilities within reach of businesses and consumers. However, increasingly complex digital connectivity will increase the number of attack surfaces, amplifying existing dangers and creating new ones.
