Many parents are impacted by children with peanut allergy. There has been a general rise in allergies in Australia over the last 20 years. It has changed the way we live. Schools have put bans on peanut butter sandwiches to avoid cross-contamination between children. Parents have been seen giving the first dose of peanut to their children in hospital car parks or outside medical clinics.
