A Kent Chaplain has been telling kmfm about his vision to set up a 24/7 retreat centre for people suffering from mental health issues.

Tim Parsons from Gillingham suffered PTSD, following the death of a child at his Dartford Sunday school in 2008.

He went on to write children's books called Paramedic Chris, while working as a Chaplain for the South East Coast ambulance service.

He says after offering his own support to crew members, it's clear more needs to be done.

Proceeds from his books will be going towards funding the centre .
