A political analyst and professor at the University of Juba has welcomed the President’s speech as a heartfelt attempt to seek redirection to the path to peace.
President Salva Kiir in a strongly-worded statement to mark SPLA Day, the founding anniversary of the national army and the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) party sounded a stern warning to party members who he said have 'abandoned the party vision' and were preying on the people of South Sudan.
Prof. Abraham Kuol Nyuon, the Acting Dean School of Social and Economic studies says the President’s statement reflects a spirit of ‘fatigue’ and ‘frustration.’
