There was widespread criticism last week of a new law in Alabama which makes it much more difficult for women to get an abortion.

But pro-choice campaigners say that Northern Ireland's abortion laws are just as strict. Of course anti abortion supporters say that's the good thing.

Just like in Alabama, women here are only able to access abortions if their life is at risk, or there is a serious risk to their mental or physical health.

Now a campaign has started calling on pro-choice supporters to email their MPs to demand a change in Northern Ireland's abortion law.

Stephen spoke to Bernadette Smyth, the Founder and Director of Precious Life, and Kellie Turtle who is an activist for Alliance For Choice.
