Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi is a filmmaker, activist and organizer whose latest documentary, Bakosó, highlights the mixture of Cuban hip-hop and reggaetón with popular music from Africa in creating a new sound. Eli is the founder of Clenched Fist Productions, curator of the FistUp Film Festival in Oakland, California, and co-founder of Defend Puerto Rico, 'a multimedia project designed to document and celebrate Puerto Rican creativity, resilience, and resistance,' and 'deepen connections between Puerto Ricans on the island and throughout the diaspora.'
