Journalists tipped on effective sexual gender-based violence reporting

Journalists have been identified as a critical link in preventing and addressing sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) 

Recognizing their contribution UNICEF, UNFPA, the International Rescue Committee and Journalists for human Rights on Wednesday, 22 May, held a one-day workshop on ethical reporting practices for Gender Based Violence and child protection. 

The workshop aimed to train journalists on how to tackle stories about gender-based issues in the country. 

James Aldworth, UNICEF’s Communication Specialist and Laura Bain, Team leader, Journalists for human Rights spoke to Sebit William about the training in this discussion.
