The Disabled Student's Allowance (DSA) is a package of funding to help disabled students while they are in higher education.

The DSA gives funding for specialist equipment and other forms of non technical support, like readers or scribes, to help students to study without barriers.

A recent meeting at Birmingham University saw disabled students discuss the system's good and bad points, with the support of Thomas Pocklington Trust, and put questions to Chris Skidmore MP.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Tara Chattaway, from Pocklington, and Eddy Eyad, a visually impaired university student to learn more about the system and what the Minister thought of the issues surrounding DSA.
