Does Bollywood Promote Mediocrity?

The boys ponder why Bollywood doesn't have an Oscar after close to 75 years of cinema.
Why has no Bollywood film ever won an oscar? How come our industry and our country pushes out the most movies yet never gets international recognition. Sure song and dance aren't for everyone, but with topics like nepotism, creativity, script writing and Netflix/Amazon wanting to tell deeper more meaningful stories..is the time up on Bollywood?
