Talks to restore Stormont descend into a war of words on twitter

The Stormont talks aimed at restoring devolution have taken a turn for the worse this morning. A senior Sinn Fein MP - Michelle Gildnernew - tweeted a short time ago that Arlene Foster and the DUP are "out of touch" with the rest of the parties. It follows a sharply worded tweet from the DUP leader yesterday - Arlene Foster accused Sinn Fein of laying down demands and expecting everyone else to accede to them. Mrs Foster was responding to a BBC Sunday Politics interview with Michelle O'Neill who was pressed by Mark Carruthers on whether same sex marriage and LGBT rights are still a red line in negotiations.
