A new Human Rights report released by the UN Mission in South Sudan indicates that civilians were deliberately and brutally targeted during surge in conflict in Central Equatoria.

The report compiled by the UNMISS Human Rights Division documents more than 90 incidents of human rights violations during the six-month period from the signing of the revitalized peace agreement in September 2018 until April 2019.

It attributes the violations to government forces and opposition armed groups.

UNMISS Human Rights Director, Eugene Nindorera spoke to Radio Miraya’s George Livio about the report.
