Hundreds of morris dancers, including from Rochester, will be marching to Parliament later to protest the change in next year's May bank holiday.

Traditionally, the town's Sweeps Festival, is held over the first weekend in May and the following bank holiday Monday.

But the Government has moved the day off to Friday the 8th - to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

The festival's founder, Gordon Newton, says this is going to have a big impact on the local economy.

He also says there should be two bank holidays that week, including VE day
