Episode 967,   Jul 24, 2019, 02:16 PM

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) says 7.2 million people in South Sudan are in need of food assistance, as the humanitarian situation in the country remains dire.

The latest humanitarian snapshot indicates that the rainy season has made it difficult for humanitarian partners to deliver vital assistance.

UNOCHA Head of Office in South Sudan, Steve O’Malley says aid workers are pre-positioning food in strategic locations.

Mr. O’Malley in this interview with Sebit William also talks about a measles outbreak and Ebola response.
