The UK’s rail operators announced this week we’re leaving the Europe wide Interrail scheme, which offers unlimited train travel in 31 countries.
It’s not a Brexit consequence, as it’s not an EU programme, and instead the train firms say they wanted to focus on promoting the country-wide Britrail pass.
But after a backlash, they’ve reversed course saying the “strong reaction” forced them to renew talks.
