Episode 77 - Bills vs Jets Week 1 Preview
Episode 17, Sep 03, 2019, 01:15 PM
Still recovering from a wild weekend of preseason trades, cuts and signings, the Buffalo Bills and the Bills Mafia are geared up and ready for the first week of the regular season.
The Bills will face their AFC East rival, the New York Jets, at MetLife Stadium this Sunday, 1 p.m. kickoff time in what is sure to be an exciting match up between the two teams. Buffalo and the Jets have both had very similar off seasons, rebuilding their teams, and building around their respective sophomore quarterbacks.
The Jets have superstar RB Le'veon Bell this season, and while we haven't seen him play a down of preseason football, this will be an interesting test to see of the defense is as good as many expect and hope. Bell was ranked third in rushing yards for 2017, his last full season, and his versatility as a receiving back is a huge benefit for a Jets offense that was ranked 29th in total offense last year.
Josh Allen is expected to progress against a Jets secondary that gave up over 4,000 yards in the air in 2018. If Allen is to show signs of growth, a solid passing effort on his part is to be expected here. Especially with a Jets defense that is rather effective against the run,
