Episode 79 - Bills dominate struggling Giants 28-14

Episode 19,   Sep 16, 2019, 02:05 PM

Buffalo controlled a struggling New York Giants team, with the exception of the opening drive, to improve to 2-0 on the 2019 season. The team played well on every side of the ball, and it showed, giving the Bills a lot of momentum as they back home to Buffalo for their home opener against the winless Cincinnati Bengals.
Aside from Saquon Barkley dominating the defense in the opening drive, the Giants couldn't muster up much of anything on the day. The Bills' defense caused two interceptions, and forced a non-turnover fumble. Buffalo was all over Eli Manning throughout the day, but perhaps not enough to retire him.
Josh Allen soared on the day, making big time throws in wide open spaces to his receivers. It was a great showing for Allen as he attempts to silence his critics in his passing game, and develop into the kind of quarterback that the Bills' offense needs and has lacked for many years. 253 passing yards on the day for him, as well as a passing touchdown and a rushing
touchdown.
Overall, it was a good day for New York's geographically lone football team, and should leave plenty of optimism for at least another week. The Bills Mafia are sure to be loud and rowdy on Sunday for the home opener against the quarterback who helped send the Bills to the playoffs in 2017, Andy Dalton.
