A controversial 100 million pound plan to build a new theatre, office block and car park in Tunbridge Wells have been thrown out. Councillors voted against the idea at a meeting last night where protesters had gathered outside. There had previously been concerns about the cost of the scheme and the impact it would have on the town. Tom Guy lives there.
